A Digital Library of Core e-Resources on Ireland

This project fills a critical gap in the provision of research and learning resources in Irish studies. The content comes from an unparalleled grouping of collaboration - collectively the partners hold an unrivalled range of printed research materials that are simply not available to the academic community in such critical mass elsewhere. The project will make the resources in the partner institutions more accessible to a wider audience.

Stellenbibliographie zum Parzival Wolframs von Eschenbach (SPWE )

A project to produce a detailed line-by-line bibliographical database on Wolfram von Eschenbach's Parzival; from this database is constituted a line-by-line commentary on the poem. The first edition of the Stellenbibliographie zum "Parzival" Wolframs von Eschenbach für die Jahrgänge 1984-1996, was published by Niemeyer Verlag (Tübingen) on CD-ROM in 2002.

Pliny: A note manager

The Pliny project aims to promote some thinking that looks broadly at the provision of tools to support scholarship. One of its products is a piece of free software, also called Pliny, which facilitates note-taking and annotation, allowing its user to integrate these initial notes into a representation of an evolving personal interpretation.

CESAR a comprehensive online repository of French Theatre resources in the 17th and 18th centuries

The primary aim was to produce a single, coherent listing of all known theatre and related performances in France between 1600 and 1800, searchable by date, title, location, genre and by the names of the people involved in whatever capacity. The database was to have an interactive web interface. The second aim was to make the entire structure bi-directional, i.e. to take advantage of the same web interface to permit members of the international scholarly community, after a simple registration procedure, to annotate, comment upon, extend and correct any field in the database.

Greek Bible in Byzantine Judaism (GBBJ )

The project's mandate is to gather evidence for the use of Greek Bible translations by Jews in the Middle Ages, to edit and publish these remains, to subject them to linguistic analysis, and to compare them with other Greek biblical texts, earlier, contemporary and later. the corpus developed by the project comprises the exact remains of Jewish Greek Bible versions, edited from manuscripts. They include continuous texts, glossaries in Jewish sources, scholia, and marginalia in Christian manuscripts.

Post-Colonial Negotiations: Visualising the Franco-Algerian Relationship in the Post-War Period

This project will consider how colonial and post-colonial relations between France and Algeria have been represented since the outbreak of the Algerian War (1954-62), and will track the shifting way in which the idea or myth of 'Algeria' has been constructed, portrayed and understood in France during that time. The results will be disseminated through the blog and multi-media postcards as well as academic outputs.

Stress in Nilotic - a typological challenge

The main focus of the project is the way tone, vowel length and voice quality work in several dialects of Dinka. We are also interested in how different dialects relate to each other, and how tone etc. are expressed in song and writing. The project has a strong documentation component, including the further development of the Dinka Prosody Data Collection, an electronic resource comprising 5689 utterance tokens from a total of 10 speakers. The project recorded and compared speech and song to understand how the structure of language and the structure of song are related to each other.

Tibetan-Mongolian Rare Books and Manuscripts

The Tibetan-Mongolian Rare Books and Manuscripts (TMRBM) project aims to document, consolidate, catalogue and make accessible the rare Tibetan and Mongolian books in the University Library, Cambridge, the Bodleian Library, Oxford and the British Library in London, with focus on the collection acquired during the Younghusband Mission to Tibet in 1903–4.
