The objective of the Medici Archive Project (MAP) is the digitization of one of the most exhaustive and complete courtly archives of early modern Europe: the Medici Granducal Archival Collection (Mediceo del Principato) ― comprising over four-million letters distributed in 6,429 volumes and occupying a mile of shelf space.

Help description
Develop and Unit Test Java-based JEE and Spring applications including design and implementation of new architecture; work in a team environment.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (Italia: Laurea Triennale) in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering with at least a 3.0 or higher GPA (Italia: 105/110), or equivalent work-related experience; 2+ years experience in the IT industry working in the area of product and/or application development; 2+ years as a Java Developer; basic Spring MVC Framework and Hibernate knowledge; basic Mysql (or other major RDBMS) knowledge; basic SQL language knowledge. OPTIONAL: UNIX/LINUX environment knowledge is a plus. Experience with JQuery or Ajax oriented framework is a plus. Fluent English is a plus
