Bulgarian dialectology as a living tradition
This project features transcriptions, translations, and a linguistic analysis of conversations with people from rural Bulgaria collected in the field during the 1990's and 2000's. Excerpts from the conversations are transcribed, along with full linguistic glosses. Users can also listen to and download mp3's of the source data. Salient dialectal traits are highlighted, and texts are also tagged for salient cultural traits. All word forms from the conversations have been aggregated into a glossary, and maps showing the distribution of linguistic and cultural traits are available.
The site is still under development, and is limited to collaborators only until the texts are finalized.

Help description
The project seeks contributors who can enter transcribed texts into Drupal, as well as contributors who can assign standard Bulgarian forms to the dialectal forms included in the database. Knowledge of Bulgarian is required. This project does not currently have grant funding to compensate data entry assistance.

oXygen XML editor
A cross-platform XML editor that may be used to create and validate XML documents and associated schema. It fully supports XSL (both XSLT and FO), DTD, Schema (Relax RNG and W3C), Database, XQuery and CSS. OXygen XML Editor works with all XML-based technologies, including XML databases, XProc pipelines, and web services and comes with ready-to-use DITA, DocBook, TEI, and XHTML support. Frequently updated and supported, and with a very large set of features, this software tool has proved popular with digital humanists.
Google Maps
Google Maps is a web mapping service application that includes street maps, satellite images, street view perspectives, as well as web functions such as routing and geocoding. The API can be used outside of the normal Google Maps interface for other projects.
Drupal
Drupal is an extremely flexible general content management system with numerous plugins that provide scholar-oriented functionality.
