I'm open to hearing about all kinds of projects! I write at www.citizencurator.org, design in Adobe InDesign, and work in communications/marketing with a strong administrative background.

I am an Associate Professor of English (Coordinator of World Literature Program, Director of a National Writing Project site), and a relative newcomer to DH. I will be attending two THATCamps soon, and I am eager to transform my traditional approach to my scholarship into a more digitized multi-modal engagement. Also, I am enthusiastic about enhancing my pedagogical methods as I incorporate more digital tools in class and I continue to foster a more inquiry-based classroom. I am looking for a mentor who can guide me in this "mid-career" transition, and I am looking for opportunities for research collaboration which would enhance my overall DH skills & understanding.

I hold a Ph.D. in History (2010) and a C.A.S. in Higher Education Leadership: Student Development in Higher Education (2012) from the University of Maine. My teaching experience is broad and includes f2f, online and hybrid courses in history, sociology and Maine studies. My research interests are equally diverse but generally fall into three categories: (1) research on immigrants and refugees in the late 20th and early 21st centuries (2) research on the environment, particularly transnational issues in the northeastern U.S. and Atlantic Canada and (3) research relating to online scholarly community building in the 21st. century. I am interested in collaborative projects of all sizes and scopes. I can offer experience gained from teaching upper and lower level classes in multiple departments at the university and community college level. I can also offer wide ranging humanities and social science research experience and a passion for the digital humanities.

I am currently in the first year of my PhD, studying the adoption of Ebooks and digital tools by Humanities Scholars. I am interested in DH projects that involve classroom participation (creation and testing of digital syllabi) or library skills (database creation/digital libraries), but am open to helping with other ideas. My historical interests lie in London, England under the reign of James I/Charles I (1603-1640).
