I am interested in providing assistance in a variety of ways. I would be particularly interested in XML or TEI markup of documents. As far as design and programming go, that is not my area of expertise. I would, however, value opportunities to work in design and get more CSS experience if there were someone who wanted to take the design lead on a project and wanted an assistant. I am a very good proofreader and copy-editor, and have interned in editorial departments in publishing before. I am also interested in genealogy and prosopography, and have worked with a couple prosopographical projects before: Alison Booth's Collective Biographies of Women, and Documents Compass's People of the Founding Era. I will be completing my MA in English at the University of Virginia this spring, so I will not be available for collaboration until the summer. I would, however, be interested in learning about opportunities opening up and would love to begin assisting after my graduation in May 2014.

Infinite Ulysses

Infinite Ulysses (InfiniteUlysses.com) is a participatory digital edition: it uses an authoritative text (the Modernist Version Project's transcription of the 1922 Shakespeare and Co. first printing), but allows readers of all backgrounds to highlight the text and add annotations (interpretations, comments, and questions). Martha Berry Digital Archive and Crowd-Ed

The Martha Berry Digital Archive (MBDA) project is publishing the writings of early 20th-century educator and philanthropist Martha Berry. To achieve project goals, MBDA has developed and is currently testing a participatory metadata editing tool which enables Dublin Core metadata editing in the Omeka platform.
